Back to Hascombe Hill stone circle- Lyrids and sunrise

Another stupid (1:30am) rise and a 30min drive down to Hascombe Hill stone circle.

Forecast was for a completely clear night/sunrise and tonight was the Lyrids meteor shower peak.

Unfortunately, the moon was up and large, only setting after 4am, so the sky was a bit washed out. Didn't see any meteors, but managed to capture a couple of small ones on the GoPro.

Sunrise was a bit better, with some lovely light, but I don't think I did it justice. I like the high GoPro shots- these were done with a GoPro on a selfie stick, on a fully extended tripod.

Milky Way 2021 season kicks off

A very early (up @ 0130) trip down to Selsey to capture the early season Milky Way.

It was lovely and clear and I managed a good number of tracked 2 minute shots.

I still feel my MW shots have a bit of a "muddy" feel to them compared to other's really sharp images.

Surrey's very own Stone Circle

In the week lockdown lifted (slightly!) I was desperate to get out and get some fresh air.

I've been looking for local highpoints facing East/South East so I can capture the Milky Way (or maybe a sunrise) and came across this place.

What a find! The sunrise wasn't great, but it was lovely to just be there. Will certainly be back again.
